Cream Cheese Frosting

Cream Cheese Frosting

Ingredients:
2 (8 ounce) Packages Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
32 ounce package powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:
Beat cream cheese and butter at medium speed with an electric hand mixer until creamy.  Gradually add
powdered sugar, beating until fluffy.  Stir in vanilla.


Lemon Creamcheese Frosting Variation:
Reduce vanilla to 1 teaspoon and beat in 2 tsp of lemon zest and 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice before
stirring in vanilla

Chocolate Variation:
Add 1/4 to 1/2 Cup of cocoa.
This versatile frosting is creamy and delicious and can be used with a variety of cakes.  Besides being delicious
between cookies, it is also delicious with banana bread, carrot cake and pumpkin cake.
